National N Diploma: Chemical Engineering

Chemical Engineering is the branch of Engineering that is concerned with the manufacturing of chemicals on an industrial scale. It is also the branch of engineering concerned with the design and operation of industrial chemical plants. It involves processes that convert raw materials into various products that we use every day through physical, thermal or chemical changes. The design of the qualification enables learners to obtain the qualification by completing the related N3, N4, N5 and N6 courses. On completion of the N3, N4, N5 and N6, learners must complete 2 years of practical workplace learning for the learner to be awarded the National N Diploma (N6).

The programme duration is 2 years on a full-time basis.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the programme, learner s will receive the following certification: NATIONAL CERTIFICATE AT EACH LEVEL: N3, N4, N5, N6. NATIONAL N DIPLOMA (on completion of N4-N6 and 18 months in-service training).
