In the context of the in-flight industry, this programme will enable the learner to contribute positively towards a professional and safety-conscious service while enhancing overall passenger satisfaction. This programme equips the learner with the necessary skills to function as a cabin attendant, both with a commercial or a corporate airline.

Certification
Upon successful completion of the programme, the learner will receive a Damelin Cabin Crew Training Certificate.
Upon successful completion of the Practical Aviation Training, South African citizens will qualify to write the SACAA licensing examination and upon successful completion will be issued with an SACAA Cabin Crew Licence.
Non-South African citizens, who intend to seek employment in the country of their birth, will only be issued with competency certificate documentation and relevant certification as proof of successful completion and not with SACAA licences.
The Cabin Crew Training Certificate is offered by Damelin and Quality Assured by the Damelin Academic Board.
Admission Requirements
Knowledge, comprehension and application of English language at Grade 12 or equivalent.
Knowledge, comprehension and application of 2nd South African language at Grade 11 or equivalent.
Knowledge, comprehension and application of Mathematical Literacy at Grade 12 or equivalent.
Candidates must be between 18 and 35 years
Ability to swim.
A Class II Medical Certificate issued by a SACAA registered doctor. The examination includes the following: Stress Electrocardiograph, Lung Function, Visual Examination, Audio Examination, General Physical Examination
Admission may be subject to an interview with an academic staff member.
CAA Licensing Regulation: With reference to the 1st of August 2012 CAA regulation: English Proficiency, learners require any of the following to proceed with the issuing of CAA Licences: Matric Certificate with English Level 4, Matric Certificate with English First Language Symbol D, Matric Certificate with English Second Language Symbol C
