The purpose of this qualification is to ensure that qualified learners understand advertising agency processes, systems, and technical methods in general, and specialise in the processes, systems, and technical methods that they are (to be) involved in by achieving specific competence. These processes, systems and technical methods refer to copywriting, art direction and design, client service, media buying, television/radio production, and print production.

The programme duration is 1 year on a full-time basis.

Certification
Upon successful completion of the whole programme, i.e. competence achieved in the summative assessments, the successful completion of the WIL component, and provided the learners PoE is found competent, the learner will receive a Damelin Results Letter outlining the unit standards covered.
- Damelin will apply to MICTSETA on the learners behalf for the National Certificate: Advertising, SAQA ID 58820, NQF level 5, 124 credits to be awarded.
Admission Requirements
Communication and language at NQF level 4. Adhering to advertising work ethic and industry accepted practice standards at NQF Level 4. Working in an advertising team at NQF Level 4.
